It was a heart-thumping weekend for the students who went on a weekend trip to Pugad Pugo Adventure in Pugo, La Union. Just an hour and a half away from Baguio City is a thrilling outdoor adventure!
The first week of June welcomes a Wednesday with no classes! Last May 28th, President Duterte made an announcement declaring June 5th (Wednesday) as a regular holiday throughout the Philippines.
Finally, my long journey of 24 weeks or 6 months is over. With two-month intervals, I have enrolled in 3 courses in Monol. I had the opportunity to experience the ESL, IELTS course as well as the school’s LEAP program.
All students and teachers from 3+1 rooms gather together for a fun night at a local shopping mall (SM Baguio). They were set to watch the new American superhero film ‘Captain Marvel’. The film won’t have any subtitles so for the students, it’s great practice for listening!
Sure enough, as we climbed to the hillside, the waterfalls were in front of me and I felt a cool breeze. Everyone quickly changed clothes and the big brother was the first to jump.
May 13, 2019 (Monday) is Philippine’s national and local elections. There will be no classes on the said date as it is a special non-working holiday.
Monol academy is always happy to welcome new and eager English learners! Near the end of March, new students of term 186A are getting themselves settled into the academy.
Monol’s Weekend trips are something the students can look forward to every two weeks. After spending their weekdays hitting the books and attending classes, the academy gives students an opportunity to travel and explore. These trips introduce students to different places, cultures, and even interests while at the same time helping them unwind.
