Right after Valentine’s Day, Monol went to spend a Saturday morning, February 15, in high spirits with the kids of the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC). 10 Monol students of different nationalities signed up for the outreach program. They had the opportunity to bond with 12 kids from the center.

As February 1st hits the calendars, the usual Baguio breeze is tinged with an even sweeter vibe as people look forward to the most romantic day of the year, Valentine’s Day. On February 14th, Monol also participated in spreading the love to everyone in the academy.
I am a sensitive person when it comes to sleeping. When I was in was in a dorm room with roommates, I was often awake most of the night because I could not sleep. After experiencing that, I decided to apply for Monol’s Standard Single room or Room for One.
It is the first time in 16 years that I will not be spending the Spring Festival with my family. I originally planned to go to the Philippines with two other people. However, due to Visa issues, I embarked on my first trip to another country by myself. After some setbacks, I came to study in Monol for most of my vacation.
Most cakes are already sold out during the afternoon so it’s hard to find any during weekday evenings. I ordered chocolate cake and their famous blueberry cheesecake. It costs 325 pesos, which was really cheap price for cake.
As a brand new year begins, Monol welcomes new enrollees from Taiwan, Korea, and China to the campus. Around 12 Taiwanese students from the winter camp arrived in the academy last January 18. At the same time, they were joined by the parents and children in the family program.
From my point of view, if you are planning on studying the English language course for the short term (about 1-4 months) in the Philippines, then I would recommend Monol International Education Institute.
For the students learning English in Baguio, I personally recommend going to the cinema and watching English movies frequently. The reason for this is to be able to practice listening and learn English naturally while enjoying the film.
Most recently, the Philippine government has confirmed the first positive case of the Coronavirus and thus, it is very important to enforce preventive measures for the safety and security of our students and employees.
I think it was a meaningful and worthwhile experience. I had three months to experience many different things, but the most important is that my English skills have improved. I will talk about some tips and how I felt while studying in Monol.
