Christmas is best enjoyed with family, so they say. In this essay, Yul thinks so as well. Her most memorable Christmas happened not only to celebrate this festive season but it was also time for her to discover new things. Christmas in the Philippines is usually a time for family. Families get together, eat a lot of good food, and exchange gifts. It’s also the time to celebrate as all Catholics do – that is, to wake up early in the morning to attend a series of masses for nine days. And most of all, it’s the time when people solemnize the birth of Jesus.
The evening breeze was a bit chilly and strong last December 15, 2014. But, this did not stop Monol students and employees in enjoying the Christmas party held at the campus.
Mandy started studying General ESL before pursuing the IELTS Review Course. She started in Essential Elementary level on her first term and jumped to Essential Intermediate on her second term. She was able to finish Book 2 of Essential Intermediate level before changing her course to IELTS. Her initial band score upon entrance was 3.0, however, she was able to show large amounts of improvement in the different skills in only 10 weeks.
Jerry started at Foundational Advanced level. He took the Revalidation Test after his first term and after successfully passing, he skipped Foundational Advanced Book 2 and jumped to Essential Elementary on his second term. At present, he is in Essential Elementary Book 2.
