MONOL cooperates with the nationwide earthquake drill

Mar31 MONOL earthquake drill

Students and staff of MONOL International Education Institute cooperated with the local government of Baguio City during the earthquake drill held on March 31, 2016.

Employees of MONOL International Education Institute joined the second quarter earthquake drill this June 22, 2016.

This drill is in accordance to the recent memorandum of Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan which aims to familiarize every resident with the “duck-cover-hold” and evacuation techniques when an earthquake occurs. The earthquake drill was also simultaneously done nationwide, especially in all public schools.

Last March 31, MONOL also cooperated in the earthquake drill organized by the Office of the Civil Defense in Baguio City.

Baguio City was heavily destructed after the 7.8 magnitude killer quake on July 16, 1990. A number of buildings collapsed during the said disaster, burying people in those structures alive. These drills being organized by different government units aim to decrease, if not to avoid, casualties when natural disasters occur.
