As incoming Monol students arrive over the weekend they are given time to rest and adjust themselves to their new living and learning environment. Once they have settled in and Monday greets them, their week starts with taking what Monol calls a “Level Test.”
This test will determine what type of learning strategy would best fit them to enhance their English Skills. Reading, Writing, and Listening are always present as well as Pronunciation and Grammar. This test can also be referred to as the Placement Test since the results will be used to place the students on the levels they are best fit for.
The test starts at 8:00 a.m. and is finished exactly at 12:00 p.m.
Monol utilizes this test in helping teachers find the best strategy to teach and guide their students. It would be a waste to teach students of what they already know so instead it is best to find out their strengths and weaknesses. Using their strengths as leverage to better their weaknesses.
The Level Test Grade Distribution is equal to 100% wherein Listening, Reading/Speaking, and Writing are all being assessed.
Monol’s Level Test is not just one whole test, instead it is a series of level tests that tackles each skill required to learn English comprehensively.
