Life at Monol

My life at Monol is to study English for 3 months now to improve my English skills. I find it very important to study abroad.

Before choosing the Philippines, I believe over one billion people in this world are just like me. We worry about the efficiency of studying English abroad where people use English as a second language. If the EOP can help me to improve my English. I will ignore this issue about why I decided to study English in Monol instead of a school in America.

COMFY WEATHER

First, Monol International Education Institute sits in Baguio City, which is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines because of its mild climate owing to its high elevation. The temperature in the city is usually about 7-8 degrees Celsius lower than the temperature in the lowland area. In addition, the temperature seldom exceeds 26 °C (79 °F) even during the warmest part of the year. So the first reason why my choice is Baguio is that of the weather.

Life at Monol

Second, unlike Clark, Cebu or Manila, Baguio doesn’t have many recreational facilities like casinos, gambling houses, and pubs that may distract students. Hence, Baguio City is very much suitable for learning English. Moreover, in Baguio, going anywhere by taxi costs very cheap. Taxis go not banned like in Clark or do not overprice like in Manila.

Apart from that, the cost of studying in Monol is cheaper compared to a school in Missouri, USA, which is triple.

ACADEMICS

Finally, I chose Monol because of the academics. Some people believe that the best way to study English is to go to America. However, it’s a fact that there are a lot of Vietnamese people in America. However, it will be too hard to look for Vietnamese people in the Philippines. This is your opportunity to limit using Vietnamese and talk with foreigners in English. Likewise, through man-to-man classes, students can have 10 times more chances to speak than in large group classes. This way, students can boost their confidence and focus more on improving their skills. These mean you will use English at least 10 hours every day.

Based on my experience in 3 months, I feel satisfied with my decision. Life at Monol is definitely an experience worth trying for you, too!
