Monol Weekend Trips in Full Blast

Students got to discover other tourist destinations around Baguio as the Monol weekend trips have been launched full blast.

Two weeks after the first trip to San Juan, La Union, last August 27; the same experience went for the students who weren’t able to join. This time, however, the destinations were San Juan, La Union for surfing and Asin, Benguet for the hot springs.

The trip has also gone a bit further south of Baguio City, so that students can experience island hopping, snorkeling, and other water sports in Hundred Islands, located at Alaminos, Pangasinan, 3-4 hours away from Baguio. After Hundred Islands, the students went up north to Vigan, 5 hours away from Baguio, to get a glimpse of Philippine history from its infamous heritage sites.

Since Monol’s group pick-up service is done every two weeks, the weekend day trips are also scheduled every two weeks, offering two different destinations for Saturdays and Sundays.

In the coming months, Monol will take students to even further places in the Northern part of the Philippines. Some of the famous tourist traps in Luzon are Bolinao, known for its white-sand beaches; Sagada, sought-after for its serene and calm countryside air; and Mt. Pinatubo, a dormant volcano that offers extreme activities for the adventurous.
