MONOL’s weekend trips are organized every two weeks with two different destinations on Saturdays and Sundays. Students have already experienced traveling to tourist destinations that are 2 to 6 hours away from Baguio City, wherein they were able to enjoy various outdoor activities such as surfing, hiking, and island hopping.
Upon arrival in Baguio, students can tour the city during their free time after Monday’s level test and orientation. Moreover, students can go out during weekends to explore the City of Pines. Here, students can get acquainted with the city’s major roads and highways along with shopping centers and establishments for their miscellaneous needs. They can also get to visit popular tourist attractions in the city.
Monol provides venues for volunteerism to students through community-driven activities such as orphanage visits and outreach programs, as well as tree-planting and clean-up drives. Not only do these activities strengthen relationships between teachers and students, but these also serve as opportunities for students to continuously practice their English through interactions with Philippine locals.
