January 25 – Taiwanese agents travel to the Philippines and visit Monol as part of the Familiarization Tour 2019 – Baguio.
The Familiarization Tour is an annual event of Baguio English Schools Association (BESA). Particularly, it exhibits the courses and services of its 10 affiliates and usually accommodates each nationality. Four Fam Tours take place throughout the year, serving the agencies from Japanese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, and Chinese.
Unlike the previous Fam Tours, this was spearheaded by the Department of Tourism-Cordillera Administrative Region. The activity is under the Office of Product and Market. The government agency wanted to showcase the established industry of English as a Second Language (ESL) in the Philippines. This is specifically in the cities of Cebu and Baguio.
In the Baguio itinerary, the Taiwanese agents frequented Monol at 10 in the morning. With the delegates of DOT-CAR, they received a warm welcome from the Monol employees, leading them to the Business English hall.
After a brief greeting from the Chinese Manager, one of the headteachers presented a compellingly interactive Pronunciation Class demo to the whole delegates which made everyone feel like sitting in a real class.
Afterward, the Taiwanese agents toured around the 14-story building, getting firsthand experience on the facilities and services of Monol.
The Chinese Manager elaborated and wrapped up everything there is in Monol that makes studying here effective and worthwhile before the delegates left the campus for another activity set for them.
