Monol’s weekend trip coincides with the Philippines’ three-day weekend because of public holidays! So for Sunday, August 25, 2019, the students enjoyed a day trip to Hundred Islands National Park located in Alaminos, Pangasinan for Monol’s regular weekend travels.
We departed early in the morning around 6:00 AM using the school’s shuttle bus. In total, 28 students joined the trip. Once we arrived at our destination, the first thing to do was to rent a boat. Since we were such a big group, we had to rent two boats to accommodate everyone.
Arriving in Hundred Islands
After settling down on the boat and wearing our life vests, we started going towards the numerous islands. While riding on the boat, we admired the beautiful sea. We arrived on the first island and somehow we started climbing even before playing in the sea.
The reason for this is for us to experience and enjoy this breathtaking view! When traveling to Hundred Islands National Park, taking a commemorative photo here is essential!
Here’s our commemorative photo with some Filipino tourists!
We also challenged ourselves to ride the banana boats! Compared to Japan, there are various activities you can enjoy here in the Philippines at a cheap price. The banana boat was pretty fast and everyone seems to be having fun.
Aside from riding banana boats, the other students tried snorkeling to see the corals too. Unfortunately, the weather got bad and the island tour was completed earlier than usual. Despite the circumstance, the students seemed very satisfied with all the fun on the trip.
Baguio city is far from the sea, but with Monol’s weekend travels, students can easily enjoy the sea and making new friends! Please join in between studying.
